We take hygiene, infection control and prevention seriously.

Our Aim

Protect our patients and visitors and to ensure a safe working environment for all our staff.

Protect patients, visitors and staff from acquiring an infection and controlling the transmission of infection when identified.  To ensure evidence based practice is incorporated within our infection control policy and our clinical procedures.

Our Vision

Promote an ethos of Infection Prevention awareness and practices in patients, staff members and visitors through education, surveillance, clinical intervention and support.

Questions or concerns

Infection prevention is everyone’s responsibility; hand washing is one of the single most important factors in the prevention of infection transmission.

Staff decontaminate their hands before and after caring for patients by hand washing or using an alcohol based cleanser.  If you are worried that this has not been done please feel free to ask or remind us.
