Walk In Centre

NHS Rotherham (formerly Rotherham PCT) also provides a Walk-in Centre to deal with minor ailments, illnesses and injuries. It is open from 8am to 9pm every day including Bank Holidays (excluding Christmas Day).

It is staffed by GPs and nurses, and is now based at the new Rotherham Community Health Centre, Greasbrough Road, Rotherham (near Bailey House). No appointment is necessary

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 (111). Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

NHS 111 is a new service that's being introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services in England. You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
